Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Hendone (هندونه) app for iPhone and iPad (“the App”) and the website hendone.app (“the Website”) handle information. The App and the Website are made by Asghar (“we”, “us”).
The short version
- We do not collect, store on any server, share or sell your personal data.
- The App works fully offline and never connects to the internet.
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.
- Names and game data you enter stay on your device, and you can delete them at any time.
1. Information we collect
None. The App does not ask you to create an account, does not collect personal information, and contains no code that sends data to us or to anyone else. It makes no network connections.
2. Information stored only on your device
To make the games work, the App saves the following locally, in its private storage on your device:
- player and team names you type in;
- your game settings and language choice;
- games in progress, so you can resume them;
- your game-night history, including winners and scores;
- a record of recently shown words and cards, so they don’t repeat too soon.
This data never leaves your device through the App, and we cannot see it. Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud or your computer), which are handled by Apple under your own settings. You can delete game history inside the App at any time, and deleting the App removes all of its data from your device.
3. Device features and permissions
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or notifications. In the Guess the Character game, the App can read the device’s motion sensors so you can answer by tilting the phone. This data is processed instantly on your device and is never stored or transmitted. You can turn tilt controls off in the game settings.
4. Third parties
The App contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs): no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or social media SDKs. The Settings screen has links to our website, this policy, our Telegram channel and our support email. Following one of these links opens another app or service (such as Safari, Telegram or Mail), and that service’s own privacy policy applies to it.
5. Apple
The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple may collect information related to your download and use of apps under Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you personally. We use them only to fix problems and improve the App.
6. When you contact us
If you email us, for example with the App’s “Report a bug” option (which pre-fills the subject and the App version), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem you report. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your message, and we delete support emails when they are no longer needed.
7. The Website
hendone.app is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and its fonts and images are served from hendone.app itself. Like any website, requests pass through our hosting and network providers (Vercel, and Cloudflare for www.hendone.app), which may process technical data such as IP addresses in their server logs to deliver and secure the site. We do not use that data to identify visitors.
8. Children
Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or under the minimum age in your country. The App is rated 18+ on the App Store because it includes an optional adult word category, which is off by default and needs confirmation to turn on.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to access and delete it. Since the App does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. The data on your device is fully under your control. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete your messages at any time. We do not sell or share personal information.
10. Security
Data the App stores stays inside its protected storage on your device and benefits from the security features of iOS and iPadOS, such as app sandboxing and device encryption.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. If the App ever starts handling data differently, we will explain it here before the change takes effect.
